IGF-1 and IGF-2
IGF means insulin-like growth factor.
Dr. Davis in his book, "Feeling Younger with Homeopathic HGH", states that "Since HGH and IGF-1 work so closely together in the body they could be an "unbeatable" team used together as a homeopathic system....so the 2 could, as supplements, work synergistically and catalytically in the body." Other researchers agree saying that, “HGH and IGF-1 don’t just minimize the damage to the DNA and cellular structures; they help heal the cell and the DNA. These two hormones actually treat the blueprints of aging.”
IGF-1 is ten times more potent than HGH. IGF-1 is responsible for the majority of benefits associated with HGH. The benefits are brought about by (HGH) the foreman and (IGF-1) the workers who actually do the work on a cellular level. One reason that IGF-1 should be in your HGH supplement, is that IGF-1 directly bypasses the pituitary gland, which may be “burnt out” because of aging, therefore the liver doesn’t have to convert HGH into IGF-1.
IGF-2 works mainly on nerve cells and researchers believe at this time that it could help those with spinal injuries.
Most HGH products don't include the IGF's, which are expensive to produce however, the benefits far out weigh the cost. This is one reason why I chose ProBLEN’s HGH with IGF-1 and 2 derived from deer velvet antler.
