How do I prepare for a micro current COSMODIC treatment?
The most important thing that you need to do is to be sure you don’t wash your face/body 2 hours prior to your treatment, this is critical! Next, arrive without makeup. The light rejuvenation needs to be treated on clean skin without make-up and the COSMODIC device needs to read your skin and the natural oils that are on it. Washing your face/body just prior to your treatment will result in an inaccurate or no COSMODIC reading and therefore results may NOT be achieved. If you put make-up on to go to work, be sure to remove it at least 2 hours before your treatment. (Mascara isn’t a problem only face make-up needs to be removed.)

What does the COSMODIC device feel like on my skin?
The COSMODIC device will deliver a tingling/prickling/pulsing sensation. It won’t hurt but if you feel it is too intense the power can be tuned down. This action will help build underling tissues thus smoothing out wrinkles and help lift sagging skin. It can be compared to exercise. When you first workout you don’t see results but you do feel something i.e. soreness from lactic acid. The action you feel with COSMODIC technology is a message to your face/body to make changes. In time usually 21-28 days later, your face will become more firm. One day you’ll be washing your face and you’ll notice that it just feels firmer and you’ll notice the difference in the mirror.

How many treatments will I need to see results?
This is based on each individual. Some see results right away others take longer. Those who are the healthiest usually see results sooner as well as younger clients. Those on prescription drugs may take longer to see results, (see the next question for a full answer). Most clients see results after several treatments, but there is no guarantee. Some people underwent treatments everyday for 3 months and the positive results didn’t manifest until later. Those with chronic conditions on the body can feel better during the treatment series but the final result usually occurs the next month. If your symptoms reappear it is best to wait 3 months before repeating the series. The suggested number of facial treatments is ~10-14 a maintenance program of 1 to 2 treatments per month is recommended.

Can I have a COSMODIC treatment even though I am on prescription drugs?
Yes, however you may be slower to respond and like ALL other alternative treatments i.e. the foot bath and light therapy, it may interfere with your medication, but it doesn’t mean that it will. Remember COSMODIC technology and other alternative treatments want to correct the dysfunction and not just stomp out the symptoms. If you feel your medication is out of balance go see your doctor, chances are you will be able to reduce your dosage, but get medical advice before changing your dosage! Alexander Karasev the inventor says that Americans are over-medicated and over-stressed compared to Russians. He claims that because of this, Russians experience faster healing with COSMODIC technology over Americans. He goes on to say that the American lifestyle tends to deplete stem cells and thus suppresses regeneration. In a young child there are 12 stem cells per 1,000,000 cells but if you are over 50 you may only have 1-2 stem cells per 1,000,000. Our over-medicated and over-stressed lifestyle is not helping our bodies to regenerate. The good news is COSMODIC technology can help.

The comparison between Russians and Americans brings up another point. Russians already accept SCENAR/COSMODIC treatments as viable cures for many pathologies. However, Americans are more skeptical and therefore more closed minded that SCENAR/COSMODIC will work. This is true for ANY treatment you pursue. If you don’t believe it will work at least a little bit, then it won’t. Health, success, happiness is achieved through a prepared mind.

What can I expect during my treatment?

Can I have a foot bath and a COSMODIC treatment on the same day?
Yes, Dr. Irina says this makes an excellent healing combination.

Can I have a light treatment and a COSMODIC treatment on the same day?
Yes, it is very beneficial for your face to combine a COSMODIC treatment with a light treatment, the results are enhanced.

Can I have a facial and a COSMODIC treatment on the same day?
I would have to say NO at this point in time, but that may change. Understanding how COSMODIC technology works I feel it is best to separate these two treatments even by a day.

Can a COSMODIC treatment help with acne?
Yes, the sterling silver electrodes will kill the bacteria on the surface and detoxify the cells. Also, the treatment will help balance the body therefore helping to clear the skin. Scars tend to become less deep and the skin smoothes out. For some a treatment to the liver or kidneys greatly improves acne breakouts!

Can a COSMODIC treatment help with rosacea, psoriasis, seborrhea…?
Yes, it helps ALL skin conditions because it has “special settings” for treating the skin.

Can anyone have a COSMODIC treatment?
No, those with a pacemaker or any electrical implant can’t have a treatment, nor can pregnant women or very young children.

Why is the treatment charged per minute rather than a flat rate?
This was the ONLY way to charge that would be fair to everyone. Each person’s dosage time will vary. Also, as you receive more treatments your dosage time to reach 100% may decrease. So in the beginning you may need 40 minutes and as a maintenance treatment you may only need 20 minutes. This applies not only to your face but to your body as well. Additionally, this gives you the opportunity to control what we work on knowing how much it will cost per minute. I will let you know throughout your treatment how many minutes we have used. The COSMODIC 715 has a built-in treatment timer which turns off when I remove it from the skin, and then switches back on when I place it back on the skin again. It also gives the dosage time for the current area being worked on and the total treatment time, both are excellent features.
